When it comes to American heroes there always seems to be a lot said about the rough and tough heroes that do a lot of shooting and killing rather than the ones that bring law and order. There have been many people killed for trying to bring peace to certain places in this world such as Lincoln, Kennedy and several other famous American people from history. John Blair was a man who did great things for his nation through the judicial system by bringing law and order to the American colonies and then helping the nation to become independent.

John Blair was born in 1732 before the time of an independent American nation however it was John Blair as well as George Washington who designed the declaration of independence. John was born into a family which had a strong history in the judicial system which is why John himself went on to become one of the country’s first supreme judges. He laid down laws which changed the face of America making it the nation that it is today full of constitution and freedom of speech.

John Blair did not have to attend college to become the supreme judge that he ended up as because this honor was bestowed upon him by the newly appointed president of the United States just after the war of independence. Retiring from his position as judge at the age of 63 in 1795 he paste away five years later in 1780 leaving a difficult legacy to follow for his children. Although John Blair had a lot to do with the changing of history for the United States he was not one of the most popular historical figures of his time mostly because there where so many during the time of independence.
